Thanksgiving

Well, better late than never they say...
Last Monday Mama and Emily headed to Mimi and Papa's house while Daddy and the rest of the family joined the party on Wednesday night.
Emily helped Mimi make chili before everyone arrived...

and Mama made 24 turkey cupcakes which ALL proceeded to melt before anyone even saw them!! Gotta love it when a plan comes together. :(

Emily was happy to see Daddy when she woke up Thursday morning!

And thrilled that cousin Victoria made it too!!

Our family photo shoot was quite an event with everyone jumping around and dancing to get Emily to smile.

It worked on Mama and Daddy but just made Emily yawn!

Maybe from this angle? Nope

It was getting exhausting...

Okay, pretty good.

There's the famous Emily smile!!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Emily Live!

Okay, so maybe it isn't live anymore but it was live while Mama was filming! In this clip you can hear just how much Emily has to tell the world, see how excited she is to just BE, and also hear her terrible cough! The only thing missing is her favorite new sound - the squeal. As you will see, she doesn't like the camera at all. (Which certainly has nothing to do with the fact that it has been in her face since birth!)
[This was the cutest little video of you talking talking talking.  Also, smiling and flirting with the camera and a "big" cough where you squint your eyes - very dramatic and ADORABLE!]

It has been hitting me...

Just how MUCH Emily is changing! Over the last two days I have looked at her and thought - "WOW! You used to be sooo little." I know this will only continue...
Here are a few pics to illustrate.

Santa Already?!

Today while out shopping on one side of town Emily got a new dress for the holidays.  Then we crossed town to hit the mall and get Daddy something.  Unfortunately, that was a total bust, but we did happen upon Santa;  hard to believe he is out in the malls already!  So it was off to the car to change Emily (the lines were non-existent - can't pass that up!) and back inside for a quick pic with Santa.  Emily didn't mind sitting with him, found him quite interesting actually, but the jingle bells used to get her attention didn't bring out a big smile.  So after much explanation, (after all, it is a "blog") here is Emily's very first picture with Santa.

*Now that you've seen the picture you can understand the need to explain... Emily didn't have on shoes or socks that matched the new dress.  Santa did like her little toes though.

A Day in the Life...

Here are just a few peeks into Emily's day...
Today while hanging in the buff (diaper rash) Emily discovered carpet! (She normally spends her time on a blanket free from dog hair!)

She was overwhelmed...
Emily has a significant fascination with Keira and always stops what she is doing to watch her - no matter what Keira is doing.
Mama got Keira to sit very close... again, overwhelmed!

This is a little clip from a few days ago. On the other side of the palm tree is a mirror;  it is so cute/funny when Emily sees herself in it.

Five Months

Today is the 11th and therefore, another month has passed. Emily is now 5 months old; amazing how fast time flies! These days Emily enjoys playing in her "Around We Go," reading books, chewing/sucking on her fingers, grabbing everything within reach (especially her feet!), and rolling/maneuvering to get the things that are not. Below are her newest pics coupled with last month and month 1.

Emily's Baptism - Video

This past Sunday Emily was baptized at St. Michael Catholic Church. It was an absolutely FaBuLoUs day and we were so thankful to have family and friends join the celebration!

Here she is with her parents and godparents - Uncle Ryan and Aunt Sarah.
Below is a video of the baptism if you would like to watch - it is just shy of 3 minutes.
