A Bit Of Funny
Everett was shopping in the dollar spot at Target today and requested that we put these on his Christmas list!

Just 'Yooking'
Today we bought some little gingerbread men at the store - tis the season! When we got home, you climbed in your high chair and said that you wanted to have a gingerbread man. You then went on to say, "I am just gonna yook at him for a little bit and then eat him."
You are a boy of your word...-gulp-

Trick Or Treat
A favorite new game around here is "trick or treat." It rules are not very difficult and many can play. Typically, Everett is the trick or treater and Emily is the homeowner. :)
(I took these pictures on Sunday after emerging from 36 hours in bed. I blame the quality of the pictures on my weakened state.)
Steps:
Walk to the door...
knock and wait...
check to see if others are going to come and crowd you at the door and try to snag the good treats...
look at your mama with the camera... and finally, greet the homeowner!
I did take some video until the battery on my camera ran out. It is really pretty fun (for them) and funny (for us). *Everett may be hard to hear but he is upset that Emily is not saying, "happy Halloween, Everett." The second time he says, "I fink she is not saying Happy Halloween, Everett!"

Random Friday Fun
The kids were entertaining themselves for a very long time and were enjoying this fun, in particular, for several giggly minutes. For those that love them most and want to see them for 90 seconds in their natural environment. ;)

Flow Master
Everett likes to play Flow on the iPad but calls it "Colors." He is actually shockingly good too. Here are a few pictures I took of him doing a 5x5 puzzle the other day.
*At the start of the game there are just 8 colored dots and you have to figure out the one way that each colored pair can be connected without leaving any empty spaces.

Emily - The Star Of The Week
It's a little different this year - instead of sharing every week (3yo) or every other week (4yo) like in the past, now each student is the Star Of The Week one time during the year. Emily has been waiting and waiting for her name to be pulled out to be the next star but she is so lucky that it did come this soon (the kids going next spring will have a loooooong wait).
After gathering our supplies, we worked on her photo collage on Sunday afternoon.
It was a joint effort and Emily most definitely wanted her say in it! And she said a lot with our huge sticker stash.
This morning was her time to share her collage and also be one of the super helpers...
doing all of the calendar activities.(Everett fit right in with the students)
Once calendar time was finished, it was time to go through the collage and talk about her pictures.
Then it was the "sharing toys" portion. Today she brought 13!! as well as her brother, daddy, and mama.
We were asked to sit in the front for the sharing time and then when Emily had completed her time, we took a picture together.
This paper we filled out will be shared tomorrow along with a whole new bag 'o toys!
Emily did a really great job speaking. A little quieter then she is at home but talked almost as much. I only took a couple snips of video...Sunday, November 3, 2013
Too Much (for the EEs out there)
This afternoon, just before nap, Everett threw his basketball down the stairs. After a very upsetting time out (he does NOT like time outs - he gets very, very sad), I spoke with him and sent him back to play. Well, apparently my talk wasn't enough and Emily spoke to him about how his basketball must have felt when it was thrown down the stairs. She instructed him that he needed to give his ball a hug. So, sure enough, he started to walk down the stairs to retrieve his ball. I had to run a video as I carried the ball up to him. Unfortunately, I ran out of recording space before we finished our conversation but it was still funny and cute.
