Something new every day...

On the 22nd I walked away from Emily for a minute (most likely to get the camera) and when I came back in she had rolled over to the ottoman to play.  It does look pretty interesting when you are laying on the floor.
She decided to tell me about it...

Unfortunately these are the only two pictures I can get to load STILL.  I will continue to try but just know that I will be leaving Blogger soon.  I hope you will follow Emily to her new web address when the time comes.

Bananas, Peaches, and Pears OH MY!

Starting out with cereal...

Aren't you going to save me?
If I destroy the spoon, I won't have to eat any more of this.
Maybe I will like this stuff better in my new chair!
Hiding so no one can find me and feed me.
Hmmm, do I like peaches...
NO!

But I do like baths and rubbing my gums with my tongue!

All warm and cozy - a nice reward after all of that food.

Six Month Portaits

Emily had her second professional photo shoot this week to mark her 6th month. Unfortunately she had her shots the day before, one of which she had a small reaction to, and was running a low grade fever.  BUT with Daddy's help she rallied and was mostly all smiles - yippee!  I was on drool patrol...
Emily also had some pictures taken in her Christmas dress.  Would you believe that it was my first Christmas dress and that Mimi made it?  Still looks great - Oxi Clean, worked for me!

I think Emily would have liked us to bring that big bear home!
Also, I better write Santa now for one bright pink box with lid.

Six Months

Well, it has taken me a very long time to get this post up.  For some reason blogger wasn't getting along with my pictures last week and then our internet was out for the past four days.  We are glad you enjoyed our dance in the mean time.  (side thought: are there still people without internet?  What do they do?  It was terrible!!)
Below you will find the six month comparison pics that were in fact taken on the 11th.  But, since it took so long to get the pictures up I can also include the latest stats from the doctor. Yesterday Emily weighed in at 18lbs. and measured 28 inches!  She is looking good and starting solids!  Which means, of course, that there will be a food post soon!

Taking these pictures is getting harder every month - especially on the couch.  You can see why below...
What a big and busy girl!

It's here!

Emily's first tooth has finally broken through!! Yippee and hooray! Yes, I know that the drooling is not over - there are 19 more teeth to go - but it is a very exciting milestone. It means that she will be able to ... she can ... well, it means nothing really but we are thrilled nonetheless.
Just so you can be excited with us here are some pictures of ... EMILY! No, no picture of a tooth yet but lots of tongue-on-tooth action, drool, and smiles. Those are always good! Right?!

O Christmas Tree...

On Sunday we went to get Emily's first Christmas tree! Emily had a bit of a sour stomach and was quite distracted by all of the loud saws and flocking machines.  She might rate the whole event - OKAY.
What is that Daddy?
Emily thought this would be a good size for her.
Gotta love the yard art photo op...
After her nap Emily got to see the tree IN her house AND decorated!  She liked that!
OFFICIALLY sitting in front of her first tree ;)
Monday morning, feeling happier...

Just Sitting Around

Emily is getting much better at sitting up! I did ask my mom though what qualifies as officially "sitting up." This is how the conversation went... "Is it when she doesn't tip over?" I asked. "Yes, like when you sit," mom replied. "Never tips over?" I clarified. "When was the last time you tipped over while sitting?" she asked. Okay, point made. DARN!
So, bottom line - she isn't officially sitting up. She does still tip over after a little while and in case you were wondering, I never do. You can't blame a girl for trying though.

Walking So Soon?

Pretty early walker wouldn't you say? Not even 6 months yet and she walks laps around our family room every day. The bonus is that I don't EVER have to worry about her falling down.

Below are two videos of Emily and her AWG (Around We Go - appropriately named). Why not just one? Well, the first video makes me laugh because you can see just how observant and interested she is when she sees her swing moving and the other video shows a lot of walking.

No worries though, when the second video cuts off I just ran out of memory space - she isn't really upset as it might appear. But perhaps her legs WERE tired.
