That's the Way It Grows...

22 weeks - Jan. 13th
19 weeks - Dec. 22nd
15 weeks - Nov. 25th
11 weeks - Oct. 28th

* Pregnancy tidbit: The other day I noticed my belly button in the mirror - almost flat now - and thought it was kinda early for that.  I don't remember when it happened with Emily but it made me interested in my waist measurement.  At 22 wks. my waist is measuring 37 inches.  (It measured 42 inches when I was 40 wks. with Emily.)

Here's Looking At You, Kid

This morning we went in for our big sonogram!  We were pretty excited to see Bittwo and I had prepped Emily to "see the baby on the TV."  We got several pictures - three of which are profiles...

one of the bottom of the foot (that is a hand above the foot and another foot on the right)...
as well as a picture of Bittwo's heart and heart rate.
While we watched, Bittwo was holding his/her feet, opening and closing his/her mouth, and just moving around.  The tech commented several times on how cute Bittwo is and that he/she looks just like big sister.  Emily watched for a while and said, "awww, nice" and other such things before telling me that she wanted to watch the baby on the show.  I said, "well, I told you that we were going to see the baby on the TV and that is what we just did."  She replied, "that's not a TV, that's a computer!"  I stood corrected and she did have a little Lion King viewing during the rest of the visit.
According to all of the measurements, etc. Bittwo looks great!  We will hear back in 10-14 days (WHAT?  SO LONG?!) once the radiologist looks at them and gives his/her thumbs up as well.  The doctor says I look wonderful (why thank you!) and when walking through Daddy's work parking lot later a male stranger said, "you're gonna have a happy baby!  That belly is perfectly round!"  And on that note I shall move along... Bittwo is rolling around saying hello to everyone right now... or perhaps good-bye.
* side note: during the sono Emily said, "Wook at him. Daddy, you see him?"  Daddy replied, "I guess Emily saw something I didn't see." The tech responded, "and something I haven't even had a chance to see yet!"  This was before the tech measured the legs (with the screen turned so we wouldn't accidentally see anything) and may or may not have determined the sex - she wouldn't tell us.  I figure she does know but we still do not and it's not written down anywhere.  The waiting continues!  :D
