The kids were excited to go hiking on the birdie trail this morning.
The Balcones National Wildlife Reserve offers some great birdwatching for "birders," like Papa,
but we were there mainly for the hiking...
and fun!
Papa was able to spot a few birdies up high in the trees - and even though we could hear them and were looking for them...
I think our presence was known (read: we are loud) and the most significant bird spotting was not a great one.
But, we had a great time anyway and when we were back up at the top...
we went home - where Everett showed off some serious puzzle skills.

What a fun trail to hike on! I can't imagine that you guys were loud though, aren't kids so quiet?!? :)
I'm sure that trail would be funner for Mimi with Emily and Everett on it! :-) Glad Papa got to share it with you!
