I Missed You!

I received a summons for the very first time a couple months ago - jury duty!  I was to report to the courthouse on December 10th.  From what I was told by everyone, I wouldn't be chosen, I would get to sit and read, and (in my mind) get a bit of a day off.  That is not exactly how it went.  Not at all really.  I was seated in the jury box by the end of the day.  I had very little time to read that day but I did have a lot of time to sit.  We delivered a verdict this afternoon - 5 days of trial, 20 minutes of deliberation.   

Good thing too, Daddy was scheduled to fly out tonight and as I told the judge yesterday, I didn't have anyone to care for you two tomorrow.  It was a good but strange experience and I am so glad to be home again.  It was a difficult 5 days for all of us out of our routine!
