It was a pleasant morning. I was in my room for a minute, trying to get dressed. Emily joined me in there as I put on my shoes. Everett didn't follow and it was very quiet. I said to Emily, as I tried to quickly lace up my second shoe, that we needed to go out there and check on Everett because it was too quiet. She responded that everything was okay, he was just walking around the couches. But, by that time he wasn't, he walked into my room with the algae eater's food in his hand. Oh no!! This meant that Everett got into the fish food and the container of food for the other fish is definitely NOT childproof. I raced out to the family room and the cabinet where we keep the food, to find this.
Please note that Everett, after spilling the contents, put the container back in the cabinet. :) I thought that it didn't seem like enough food, but vacuumed it up and was about to return to the morning prep when I looked over and saw this.
Please note that Everett had tried to feed the fish (getting as close as he could) as he spilled the contents and THEN returned the empty container to the cabinet.
That's when I looked back at Everett and his feet, assuming he had walked though the mess, and discovered that both his feet...and his hands were now covered.
And, yes, I suppose you could note that Everett also had some by his mouth.
In the end, I wish I had seen it transpire. It must have been totally adorable.

Oh my, you have TWO helpers on your hands! I agree, to be a fly on the wall during that would have been too cute!
It looks like he knew the steps, maybe the container was just too slippery!
I agree with Jenn, the deck may have been stacked against him. Putting the bottle away though just kills me!
Fishy hugs!
Since Everett loves all food, did he really taste the fish food? He is just so darn cute!
