Going To The Theatre

Emily went to the theatre (read: thea-tuh) for the first time to see a production of The Little Mermaid!  Before the show, we went to a little tea party where Emily enjoyed some tea (okay, she chose water) and cookies...
before playing a couple games of "ARIEL."

Then, the actors and actresses came out for a little meet and greet before the show!
(It was a Broadway On Tour production - "children bringing theatre to children.")

Soon enough, it was time to find our seats...
and Emily also found a friend.
The show was very well done...

and Emily gave it a thumbs up!
Then, after the show, we were invited out to get autographs from all of the actors and actresses.  While I waited in the long line for Ariel, Emily was brave enough to walk around to each person by herself.

She insisted that she would not go to any boys but did eventually take exception for Sebastian.  (She was proud of herself.)
Finally, it was our turn to see Ariel!

It was a great first experience!
And, as luck would have it, we found her Ariel mermaid tail (for Halloween) in the mail when we got home!

What a great experience! How fun to be able to do that, and even more fun to meet the cast! (on a side-note, love those photos above your couch :) You need to do another house tour at some point!)

Great memories were being made. I love that you want her to experience so much, she's loving everything! Love, Aunt Carolyn
