It was a lovely morning...

and we were off to a little field trip to Krispy Kreme.

We had a great employee helper to show us the flour, yeast, and dough...

who also explained the steps to making each donut and the purpose of each machine.

It was a parent planned, non-school day outing, so siblings were included!

Everyone really enjoyed playing with some dough...

 

and watching countless doughnuts pass by.

My favorite part was the glaze curtain.  (50lbs. of powdered sugar and 25lbs. of granulated sugar in each glaze batch.  Mmmmm)

Okay, nevermind.  EVERYONE'S favorite part was receiving...

and eating warm doughnuts!!!!

Once we had filled ourselves with a delicious, sugary treat, we were off to get some help with my phone.  Emily and Everett didn't take even a second to find their own iPad to play on...

and pass the wait time in peace.

(puzzles are always a hit!)
