Twas the night before Everett's 4th birthday and we read some books,
hung up a couple signs,
slept,decorated and wrapped gifts.
But the morning brought a BIG day full of fun for Everett.
Up first... his first gift. He chose one from Emily.
It wasn't just a special day for Everett either, these birthDATE twins had a cool thing happen. Everett turned 4 years old and Eliza turned 4 months on the 4th day of the month!
Once Emily was off at school we met up with friends from Everett's class for a tour of California Pizza Kitchen and personal pizza making.(Everett's best buddy, Kingston, sat across from him)
(Eliza sat in her chair and did awesome, as usual)
When everyone was finished with their pizzas we celebrated Everett's birthday with little ice cream sundaes!
Everett liked them.
By 11:30 Everett was feeling pretty cool - "kiss me, it's my birthday."
Once Emily was home it was time to decorate the cupcakes for...
Everett's playgroup "party" complete with a piñata!
And if that wasn't enough, we sang to him and everyone had a cupcake.
(Emily is the best big sister and loves Everett so...)
By the end of the day everyone was ALL smiles - but ready for bed.
Happy Happy Birthday you sweet and silly boy! Everett, you are a wild and happy boy. You are happiest when running or jumping OR hitting, throwing, catching, and kicking a ball. You eat fruit snacks 2 packs at a time (and always say "I get to have 2 a day" as you bring them in the house), like to eat small meals all day long, like to make your own turkey and cheese sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls, and are becoming a puzzle master. You are very tender hearted but can be quite stubborn if you want to be. You are very capable and independent but also prefer to have someone play with you or beside you instead of in a room by yourself. You make us smile and laugh and cringe (because you fall, A LOT) all day every day and we couldn't love you more!! xoxo

What a special celebration of such a special boy! Love Emily's arm around Everett's shoulder during the song and always, figuratively speaking! The report card describes this 4 year old just like we all know him! Happy happy new year, Everett!
