On July 1st we set off for the doctor. Everett's appointment was at 8:15 and lucky him, he slept the whole way there!

But once undressed and laid on the cold table he was wide awake, ready to flex his muscles.

His newest measurements have him in the 80th (height) and 85th (weight & head) percentiles and are as follows: length - 23.5 inches, weight - 13 lbs. 2 oz., head - 16.25

Emily helped me take a picture while Dr. L was checking him out. Dr. L was disappointed that we didn't warn her but she and Everett were getting along nicely so why interrupt?

After Dr. L oohed and aahed over our little love Emily got up on the table to talk to him about what the nurse was coming to do.

Since a shot was involved she felt that he needed a kiss but also told him that it would be okay.

"Did she say SHOT?!" He looked to me for extra reassurance...

but in the end, didn't need it. He started to cry a little but stopped just as fast as he started. Almost like he realized, "hey, it doesn't hurt anymore... why cry?!"

He did pretty well the rest of the day but did want to snuggle for most of his afternoon nap. His leg was very tender but he needed just one dose of Tylenol to get through.
Where have the past two months gone?!

What a cute baby and I love the pictures of Emily on the examining table talking to him and kissing him! It is so wonderful that she thinks he is the best thing to happen to her in a long time!
XOXO ~mimi
