On June 18th Everett went to the beach for the first time!
It was the first time we used our new outdoor tent too! It starts out very neat and compact...
but explodes out...
and becomes this! 
It was the perfect place for Everett to lay...
while Emily and Daddy played.
He did turn his head after a few minutes...
to check out the view...
and figure out what all of Emily's giggles were about!
He didn't watch the surf the whole time though - he had some good conversation with me instead!
And by the time Emily and Daddy moved up next to us...
he was ready for a swaddle and a nap.
Yep, that's right... how could he stay awake with that fabulous ocean noise? 
He ended up sleeping through Emily's lunch...
and mermaid time.
But eventually it was time to leave so he had to be awakened.
I bet he was wishing for more nap time on that LONG trek to the car. I sure was!

Love the tent!! Perfect for a trip to the beach. Y'all will get a lot of use out of that I bet. Love the cute little mermaid too! And Everett looks so happy!
Boy!! A shady nap with ocean waves and breeze wafting about?!?!? One lucky little baby! Wish he didn't have to be awakened! :(
