Emily's First Bee Sting

You two rode in like the prince and princess of the ball.
We went straight away to see the king...

and we ran into a dear friend of his right after.

You two made his heart skip a beat...
and Daisy was super pumped to see you too!

Later, we checked out the junkyard and as soon as we were loaded up...
Emily was grabbing at her face.  I saw a bee.  It was in her hand and then on her sweatshirt.  She was very calm.  Emily and I screamed back and forth during the whole ride about whether or not the bee stung her and where?!  (a sting on the face prompting her to grab for it or a sting on her hand as she held him?)  As we got off the ride, the stinging pain set in and Emily started crying.  She didn't understand why that bee was angry with her, "I didn't do anything to make him angry!"  We didn't call for emergency care to meet us at the ride (offered to us) but walked to the first aid station instead.  We found some very nice nurses who offered aid to her stinging face with some anti-sting ointment.
The ice also helped.
Emily was given a free pass to the front of any line she chose (for a ride) and she chose the bumper cars.  The nurses asked if the bee had a name tag, assuring us that without his nametag, he was NOT one of their bees.  We left them with a thank you and bought a heaping bowl of ice cream.  That helped as much or more than the ice and ointment.  Then, the redness and visible hole in the smile crease just to the right of her mouth started to subside.
As we were walking out, we found Mater just driving around Buena Vista Street.
So you two chatted him up for a minute...
and then chased him around a little...
before heading home.  You recovered well and loved your special Minnie nurse sticker from first aid.
February 10, 2013 - Emily's first bee sting.  I guess if you are going to suffer a sting, it is best to be at a place where the pain can magically be taken away!

Agreed! With your last statement. Doesn't seem like she's allergic and handled it beautifully!

Sounds like a fun filled day except of course for the bee sting. I love the no name tag bit from the nurse...only at Disneyland. Emily and Everett take wonderful pictures.

Everett leaning into Daisy Ducks belly just slays me! Mickey and Donald may be starting to believe that Emily and Everett work there too!

SO sorry to hear about Emily's encounter with the angry bee. She's such a trooper though. Tough cookie!
Big Kisses!
