On March 21st, Emily had a day off from school and my fellow room mother and I organized a little outing for the class. We arrived a little early so we took a picture in one of the cut outs...
along with Emily's friend, Rachel, ...
as we made our way over to the Easter Bunny. Emily and Everett were both very excited to see him!
After a few hugs, we met up with several more classmates that had arrived. (Apparently, it was a girl thing...)
Then, Everett checked his watch and told it was getting close to our egg hunt time and that we should head over to that area.
Once there, I asked Everett to get close to Emily for a picture.
After a bit, they opened the gates and let us in to the seating area for some instructions.
Everett was a big shot while waiting with his little friend, Billy.
Then he told the guy that he was sure he knew everything that he needed to know about egg hunting ("put it in this bucket") and suggested that we move it along. But, instead, we waited.
and waited.
"Mama, my bucket is still empty!"
Finally, the clock struck "egg time" and we were off!
The kids were limited to 8 eggs each but were welcome to pick up as much candy as they could find. Once the hunt was complete...
our whole group opened our eggs to see what kind of cool things everyone got. Everett found a ticket to the zoo and Emily (along with one or two classmates) found a ticket for the hay ride. So, we all went on the hay ride!
Everett loved watching the tractor that was pulling our wagon...
and Emily loved giggling with her friends as the wind whipped her hair...
After the hay ride,
the kids had a great big bounce party in the bounce house and then gathered in the picnic area for some lunch. As they finished eating, they were playing around in more cut outs.
All in all, it was a fun morning and it was nice for me to get to know a few of the moms a little better.

Looks like a great playdate! PS: Everett looks like a mini-Paul!
