October 28th was "Flag Day" in our house - we were making gifts for Nana, Mimi, and us. Since Nana and Grandpa were in California visiting (but left for a day trip) we had to work fast! First up, Emily!

Her almost 40 handprints made the blue and stars.

Then, once Everett woke up from nap, it was his turn! In preparation, I went out to the garage and brought in and assembled the Jumperoo to help me. I also rolled Emily in, still in her highchair from lunch, to watch.

That way she could be a great cheerleader but remain contained - out of the way. :)

Everett's cute feet were our stripes and he did a GREAT job!

And 111 footprints later,

he had earned his binky...

and some beautiful red toenails.

Now... how long until Memorial Day?!
* our gifts have only just recently been opened, hence the timing of this post

Boy, you are sneaky...I never would have guessed!!! What timing! I just wrote my thank you note to Everett and Emily last night. It's neat to see how it was done. I agree...can't wait for Memorial Day!

Deja Vu! I just read Emily's post on this. :) Maybe I'll just follow one or the other blogs. Seems they're duplicating events and either one is covering them pretty well. :)
I LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! my new flag! I remember hearing you were making some surprise? for Nana that had to get into the car before she drove it to TX! I'm SOOO happy I had the same surprise coming my way!!
Many thanks to the artists and their wrangler!!
XOXO
Great looking flags! Everett and Emily (mom too) are so clever. I know the recipients were proud to put their flag on display. Love those thighs Everett!
