My Birthday

I had thought a little about what I wanted my birthday to look like/what I wanted to do.  But, as it got closer it became clear that what I should probably choose to do, instead of anything else, would be to take a trip to Disneyland.  Then, when we arrived that morning and Mimi got a free ticket in...
from this family...
I knew it was where we were meant to be.
First stop inside the gates (we went to California Adventure), was Midway Mania.  Unfortunately, the line was already a bit long so I sent the kids with Mimi to see Goofy's water show while I stayed in line.  It was kinda cool, because as I wound around, I was able to see them enjoying themselves right next to Goofy!
After Midway Mania we made our way around the park...

and even got a cookie (thanks, Mimi!)...
before Emily gifted me with a chance to watch the Aladdin show.  We had to leave the show early a few months back on our first attempt to see it (The Cave of Wonders in the beginning was pretty large and a bit scary) - this time we made it through and loved it!
Then we went for a ride on Mickey's ferris wheel for the first time...

before joining the Phineas and Ferb dance party...

and waiting for the tram...
to take us home.
We got home just in time for a yummy carry out dinner from Daddy!  Then Emily disappeared into the garage to help with something top secret.
A surprisingly large...
and fiery cake!

It was a great way to spend my birthday!!

What a great way to spend your special day, surrounded by the ones you love at Disneyland. Impressive cake, at your age were you able to blow out all the candles? You and your mom look fantastic! Love, Aunt Carolyn
