We were out riding bikes this afternoon and you kept telling Everett, "Everett, get in my slip stream!" Then you made it clear that you wanted him to follow behind you - and he did!
But, I couldn't figure out what you were saying. I asked several times and even tried to correct you to jet stream. It made sense that you wanted him to draft you but I was unfamiliar with the term "slip stream." Finally you explained to me what it was and I was able to look it up. This is what I found on eHow.com: "Baby dolphins stay close to their mothers, learning to swim and hunt. The baby will swim in the mother's "slip stream," which is the wake that develops in the water as she swims. This helps the baby to stay close to her, aids it in learning to swim and also ensures that the baby remains with the group."I can't say that I was surprised that you were teaching me something new. And it made you wanting to have Everett in your slip stream even sweeter than if he was just drafting you like a car.
