Everett had his (almost) two week check up on Monday morning, May 16th. It was just Mama and Everett this time - he is in the hat, I promise.

We had already been in to see the doctor on Saturday, the 7th. At that visit (the day after leaving the hospital) he weighed 7lbs. 10 oz. but this visit he was up to 8 lbs. 7 oz. ...
and measured 20.5 inches.
Of course the doctor thinks he looks just great and is very cute - she was also very happy with his almost one pound weight gain. Just imagine if he had actually stayed awake long enough to drink milk from more than one side during those first two weeks.*Everett fun fact - he lost his umbilical cord on the 11th - exactly one week old. Apparently not too early (although I was surprised) but the inside has not completely healed so there has been a little bleeding since then that is now dried on - in pictures it looks like he still has his cord stub.

Yea!!! Sounds like he's eating great except for the falling asleep part. :) I remember that. Vaguely! I love the quilt Joanne's mom made! It's awesome of course! So what's Everett like compared to your first experience so far...besides the extra kiddo to take care of?
What a handsome little dude!! He has to grow big and strong so he can play with his big sister as soon as possible. :)
Wow, getting big, Everett! Glad you are drinking from both sides now (hee, hee). You are also so handsome and adorable. What will you do next?

Wow, he is already getting so big, yay!!!! I'm so glad he's a good eater, that makes all the difference in the world!! What a cutie pie.
Wow -he's getting big already! Ben was terrible about falling asleep while eating, hopefully that part gets better! What a cutie pie he is!
