On June 30th, we were invited to celebrate the baptism of our friend Mia...
and the 90th birthday of her great grammy, who is a dear friend. It was also Mimi and Papa's 39th wedding anniversary, so hooray for celebration day!
Then, on July 1st, we enjoyed some high flying fun at the park,
Everett had his first corn on the cob,
and Emily and Mimi planted three new tomato plants.
Everett really wanted to be helpful...
but was sent away. He spent some time managing his shop...
and then managed to sneak back in to the thick of things...until he was encouraged to play somewhere else again.
Emily was planting like an expert "farmer"...
and doing a great job.But she did turn her back for a teeny tiny minute, so Everett seized the opportunity to help again.
Emily, however, made it clear that pulling the leaves off of the tomato plants was not considered "helpful."
And once the little guy threat was gone, she happily watered her new garden...
and cut bird netting to protect her plants from threats arriving by air.

Sounds like you guys have been very busy! Love how Everett loves to join in on the family activities. So cute!
Making wonderful memories and delicious tomatoes! Love, Aunt Carolyn
Boy that was fun and looks funner in the pictures! I missed some of the Everett invasions! Emily really GOT the whole thing this year, loved "tamping" the soil!!
Hey, we made it into your blog! Yeah! We are so glad that all of you were there to help us celebrate Mia's baptism and Grammy's 90th birthday!
I also love the gardening! Emily is so great at it and I adore the photos of Everett trying to be "helpful." Little brothers are so great that way.
