On Friday, May 24th, we took off for a little weekend getaway. When we arrived at our hotel on Friday evening, we took a tour around while trying to get to our room.
and immediately wrote a note back.
Without much else to do, we decided to go out for ice cream! Everyone in our family really loves ice cream...
and Everett liked sampling a lot of different ice creams.
Emily mainly stuck with her chocolate mousse selection...
Our fold out couch bed left a little to be desired...
Emily and Everett ended up being awake really late because there was a lot of talking going on - it's way too exciting to be sleeping so close together!
On Saturday morning, we were out early and headed into Sea World.
Emily had decided a few days before that she would "take" me and Everett to Sea World since I love dolphins and Everett loves Elmo. :)
I had to take a few pictures of the Shamu show because there was a new baby there! Born on Valentine's Day, Makani just followed his mama around the tank while she performed...
We also did something new this time! We "dined with Shamu!" We got great seats...
They put on quite a show...
and we enjoyed our seats right next to the large shelf!!
The kids also enjoyed some large cookies...
and a comfy place to sit while drinking some juice.
We hit all of the shows, most exhibits...
After a long day, Emily and Daddy took a short swim...
And, not surprisingly, everyone was asleep much earlier that night!!

You guys have so much fun there in CA!! We need to visit one of these days!! I want to know who had to sleep on that pull out?? :)
