misplaced,
and dirty.
So, it was nice to take a break from that reality and have an afternoon visit (8/4) from Aunt Sarah and Uncle Reagan!
They had been vacationing a little north of us for their fifteenth anniversary and came over before their flight home on Sunday morning. Emily was excited to show them one of her new favorite things... her frisbee! At first she just threw it and caught it the "old fashioned" way.
Then she tried it from on top of the wall,
hitting it with a bat,
and even imitating Uncle Reagan's behind the back throw.
Emily also showed them what it's like to retrieve it once it has flown over the back wall.
Everett just stuck to his golf ball...
and snuggly personality.
Of course, the big boys had to play a game too...
and Emily did her best to get in on that a little. It was a very nice and cool day, so we enjoyed our dinner outside...
and dessert too!
Emily was VERY excited when it was suggested that we could make s'mores in the fireplace. No time like the present! She did a very good job of putting on her marshmallows, and roasting them,
but did get some help from Aunt Sarah when it came to putting it all together.
Eating, however, was no issue.
And the second time around...
she did it all.
It was very nice to have everyone gathered together that evening...
and a fun time was had by all.
It's just too bad that Emily didn't have 3 older cousins sitting beside the fire with her.
Next time!

Wow! Looks like your new house is pretty amazing (even if it temporarily not put together). Emily looks like a pro at roasting marshmellows.
She'll LOVE having Lauren, Cole and Cooper at her new house, so many fun things to do there!! Glad S & R got to visit when Grampa and Nana were in CA too!
What fun to have visitors at your new house already! And ending the day with s'mores...noting could be better!
