Well, we shared pictures of the house but some of the greatest features of where we live now aren't in our house or even on our property at all. I am talking about this place...
and this area which is where all of the kids go during a "safety break."
At the top of every hour there is a 10 minute break and everything at the water park is turned off. But, as the 10 minute mark approaches, the excitement of the kids builds...
until... TWEET! Everyone back in the water!!
Emily fully warmed up to the big bucket after a short while on our first visit...
and Everett enjoys getting close enough to get a good spray but really likes walking around as well.
Then on the days that we want to cool down but not have to stick so close to Everett's side, we head over to the splash park at a separate pool.
It also has a small playground within the fence...
but the wading pool and big pool are not accessible by little ones. (Other side of fence.)
Which means that Everett has great freedom to roam...
and wear himself out.
(That pool and splash park is not the closest one to us though, so we have to drive a couple of minutes to and from.)
But, the water park is easily reached with just a short (13 min.) walk. Although, the walk there includes this hill...
so it feels really good to reach the bucket!
(And the walk home downhill, is much faster. haha)
We invited a couple of Emily's friends from school over on the final Friday of the summer... (Ky, Emily, Rachel)
As well as Ky's little brother, Cade...
and Rachel's little sister, Riley.
It's like being on vacation! (Especially for the ones IN the stroller.)
We haven't made it over to "our" pool yet but that is strictly a pool - no splash area and not a "beach entry."

Wow, what a neat community! Looks like Emily and Everett are enjoying it to the fullest. I wonder what they will do when the weather cools down...
Wow, I can hardly wait to experience that with the kids, much closer than L Welk!
Love, Papa
That looks like so much fun! What a great excursion so close to home.
