"Thanksmas" Vacation IV

After our quick trip through Wichita, we spent a week at Nana and Grandpa's house.  The kids had a great time playing outside-
watching the deer,
and picking up pecans!

Emily's favorite indoor activity, by far, was the Wii...

 while Everett preferred the trains...
and stealing Grandpa's chair.
Nana and Grandpa live in the middle of a Pecan farm and have three pecan trees on their property.  If we were outside, there was a good chance we were picking up pecans.
Everett really liked the ones that were still in the husk...
because then he was able to peel the husk off.
He split his time between pecans and balls.  Maybe not so evenly... he really likes to kick and throw balls around.
Emily's favorite thing to do with pecans was to crack them to pieces and feed them to Zoe.
But, she also spent more time hitting a ball around.
Until the paddle broke, that is.
We also spent some time at the park...

before returning to the house for MORE ball kicking with Grandpa.
And one night, we baked some cookies and Emily was able to decorate them by herself.

She gave them a "thumbs up" ...
and Everett enjoyed them too!
