Their First President Is Our 44th

On January 20, 2009, Emily watched her first inauguration - the inauguration of our 44th president, Barack Obama.  I actually remembered what she was wearing that day...

so it was definitely not a mistake when I chose what she would wear this year as he was sworn in again.

This time, however, was Everett's first inauguration, and he was there to watch too.

Just like Emily in 2009,

he smiled.

And just like Emily, 

he sat in awe of the crowd.

He did take it a step further though, and raised his right hand.

Who knows what Everett swore to exactly, but happy inauguration day anyway!
