Toward the end of the week, the kids were able to play with our one good friend that wasn't in school - Jackson -
before returning to play at Nana and Grandpa's some more.Grandpa even got out the croquet set...
which lasted for a little while.
Then Emily decided that the mallets were great for cracking pecans,
Everett located a soccer ball,
and some deer passed by.Sadly, it was almost the end of our visit when Everett finally discovered the front loading washing machine. He thought it was pretty cool!!
And that night, Thursday, Nov. 15th, we went out to dinner for Grandpa's October birthday.
Friday, our last full day there, the kids excitedly loaded up in the golf cart...so Grandpa...
and Emily could drive us...
to the river.
After throwing some rocks...
we played at the park...
before loading back up in the cart...
for Emily to drive us...
back home.
That night I was so happy to be able to meet up with some of my favorite people from "back home" for dinner!
Saturday, the 17th was our last day at Nana and Grandpa's. But, before we left, Great Aunt Cissy and Great Grandma Darby's friend, Rosa Lee, showed up for a visit! (Rosa Lee is a pecan fanatic and I think I heard that she took about 60 pounds of them home the last time she visited!!)
It was an extra treat to spend some time with Great Aunt Cissy and the kids were excited to show her how they like to have fun in the backyard...before it was time for our final farewell.
We had great fun at Nana and Grandpa's house - wish we could play there more often!

Sounds like it was a great trip with lots of fun activities!
I'm super jealous of that golf cart, I've always wanted one :)
What a bunch of fun you all had! I love the pic of Grandpa holding on Everett's pants at the lake. And Everett's scrunchy face in the golf cart!
Looks like y'all had a good trip and had tons of outdoor fun!
Looks cold but fun! I'd need a couple blankets in the golf cart too. Very fun pix with Aunt Cissy and I love the two farewell group shots.
Big Hugs!
What busy bunch- you do such a good job getting everyone in on just one visit! and that pic of E looking at the washing machine is so cute!
