Birthday Celebration - Birthday

On the morning of Emily's 5th birthday, Everett was a little upset.

His gift to Emily was the first one opened and when he saw Buzz (hadn't seen him since the day we picked him out at the store) he was instantly confused as to why it was Emily's!!!!!  She was very nice though, and let Everett share Buzz that morning.

Then, when we ran errands, he cuddled Buzz close to himself...

but was ready to love his Woody doll (Emily's b-day gift to Everett) again!

Which worked out since Emily wanted some time with her new Buzz.

That afternoon, we had playgroup at the park and Everett sat with the "big boys" for dinner.

Then, we all sang happy birthday to Emily and shared the cake she designed herself.  (Chocolate cake, white frosting, sprinkles)

When we got home, we had a little time for gift opening (new golf clubs!)...

before Emily decorated her brownie cake...

and our friends came over to celebrate!

(Sydney and Carter live just up the street and are each within 2 months of Emily and Everett in age.)

I loved noticing later that when Carter's mama told him "thumb out for pictures!!" - Emily and Everett both stuck their thumbs out.

What a wonderfully SWEET birthday Emily had!!
