We took our cans and bottles up to the machines outside the grocery store to get a little money back. (We had a big party and, therefore, had a good amount to recycle)
Unfortunately, we arrived at 9:25AM to find this label. No worries though, we just did a little grocery shopping on the front end instead of the back. The little carts made the sting of the closed machines almost disappear for Emily and Everett!
And, after gathering a few things, we were at the front of the line when the machines came on.
(Emily was very excited, watching the can count go up - and the dollar amount too.
When we were all finished (didn't take very long, the kids were pros!) Everett was overcome with the amount of money we pulled in.
$7.05 - going in piggy banks.
After our recycling fun, we stopped off for some sandwiches and took lunch to Daddy's office. It was the first time Emily ate a turkey and cheese sandwich and she celebrated the last bite...
with a BIG happy dance!
(Mama and Daddy were giddy too - as we are every time our menu items increase)
To round out our morning, Emily and Everett played one of their very favorite games... Post-It tab mania!

I had to go through and catch up in all your posts-you've been busy uploading this week!! I wish we had a place to bring in our recycles for money!! Glad to see how much fun your trip and drive home were (the picture of you and your mom under the covers was priceless!) I'm glad I got to see you for at least one day!
Yea for Emily for eating that turkey and cheese sandwich! And love the pics with the tabs all of them!
