'Twas the night before school...
On September 12th, Emily had her first day of TK. So, of course, we posed by the sign...
with Everett too.
But, something else big was happening that morning... Everett's first day of school! He is in the "Cookie Crumbles" class (the overall theme for MOPS is beautiful mess).
That first picture wasn't great and people were trying to sign in, so I took him over to the wall across the hall.
Whatever, picture time would have to come later - he was READY to go in!When I left him (this being his first time in a class without me by his side) he was happy!
And when I returned, he was happy to see me!
Everett reported that he had a good day and, "I played with my friends! I played with James!" Then he added, "I cried for you, Mama." He also told me that James cried for his mama and that the little girl cried a lot a lot a lot! (I heard her when I left. Yikes!) I am pretty sure everyone cried once there was one kid freaking out. It just happens that way... they all start thinking, "hey, am I supposed to be upset?! I need to miss my mama too!!" I am confident that he was, overall, very happy.
And, Emily's teacher reported to me at the end of the day that Emily was a great helper!!
