On Saturday, the 16th, we got in to California Adventure extra early. It was an early entry day for passholders and we made sure to be there for the count down to the gates opening!!
Of course, we went (with the other early risers) straight to Radiator Springs so that we could drive the race cars for the first time. It was well worth it, Daddy and Emily walked right on and Everett and I passed the time by visiting Lightning McQueen.
Everett was very interested in how Lightning talked and moved, it was hard to get him to turn around and look at me and the photographer.
Emily chose not to race again with me, so I walked on as a single rider while Daddy took the kids over to Luigi's Tires.
We only stayed around until about 12:30 (just when it was starting to get pretty crowded) but filled our time well.
Then, we made it home in time for naps and I had the afternoon to run some errands.
The next morning, we were up early again so that we could take advantage of early entry into Disneyland! We started our morning off at high speed and flew some rocket ships for the first time.
Then we helped Buzz Lightyear defeat Zurg...
(Mama and Everett)
(Daddy and Emily)
before hurrying over to drive some cars at Autopia.
(To pass time in line, Everett was playing with Daddy's hat.)
Sunday, was March 17th - St. Patrick's Day!
You may have noticed the shirts that I made on Saturday afternoon in honor of spending the day at Disneyland.
Even after we had been on several rides and the park had officially opened, it was still amazingly empty when Everett and I found Emily and Daddy after exiting Pirates of the Caribbean.
Emily only needed Jasmine's signature for her book, but if you would believe it, she left after the people in front of us met her. I snapped a quick pic with her in the background though,
before we went up to meet the Genie and Aladdin.Of course, Goofy was goofy...
and Mickey loved our shirts.
Then, to round out our day, we went to the new Fantasy Faire to see Rapunzel's new storytime show... (It was REALLY good for all ages!! We probably laughed more than the kids.)
and grabbed some ice cream on our way out.It was another early day and we were home in time for naps. Hooray for early entry at Disneyland!!
