Eleven Months

Eleven months old... the months are FLYING by! At eleven months old, Everett is cruising the furniture but still using crawling to get around. He is able to stand on his own but is only just starting to let go and try it out himself versus being placed, standing, in the middle of the room by us. Everett says Daddy, Mama, hi, bye-bye, and all done. He actually "says" everything but most of it sounds the same. He claps and squeals, "raises the roof," signs more, milk and all done as well as nods yes and shakes his head - no. His side to side no shake is always accompanied by "eh" to mimic our "uh-uhs" when we tell him no.

Everett waves good bye when we tell him to say good night and the other day when I was putting him down for nap and whispered, "night night baby," his head remained on my shoulder but his hand was waving. (awwww!) If I stop bouncing him before bed and he wants to bounce more he starts bouncing in my arms. He will also pat his own back to let me know that he wants me to resume patting. When I sing to him at bed time he hums with me and when he dances to a song he sings too.

Everett loves to eat and we LOVE to feed him! He still adores his veggies and FRUIT but also really likes meat and black beans! He shoves fistfuls of food into his mouth and just gums it away. He now has four teeth, two on top and two on bottom. (For quick reference: 1st tooth-12/18, 2nd tooth-1/2 , 3rd tooth-3/26, 4th tooth-4/2)

Everett takes two naps a day and nurses three times (first thing in the morning, before afternoon nap, before bed). He goes to sleep at night at about 7PM and wakes up between 6-7AM. He is a very happy boy - loving and sweet.

What a big and amazing boy you are, Everett! I loved reading all about your milestones. Keep growing, little man.
