On Saturday morning we decided to have breakfast on the water.

There was plenty of room for us to spread out (with our Starbucks breakfast) and enjoy the beautiful scenery and perfect morning.

It was just a short walk from our hotel to The Embarcadero as you can see in the picture below. Our hotel is two toned, u shaped, and looks like it is just under that crane. (It wasn't really... that was several blocks beyond.)

Everett was happy to eat his banana and muffin...

and was delighted to share some crumbs with this pigeon.

Once Emily was finished with breakfast, she was allowed to run around...

and Everett joined her as soon as he was finished. Except, he didn't run.

Instead, he crawled,

picked flowers,

and practiced some of his yoga poses.

Then Emily found a "periscope" to yell in...

while Everett just yelled at people passing by.

He was immediately apologetic though...

and gave that up for more crawling.

From there we walked back over to Yerba Buena Gardens and found the children's "play circle."

Emily enjoyed the really tall slides...

and Everett enjoyed finding little pebbles...

and watching the big kids play.

I had decided before leaving the hotel that morning to put Everett in dark jammies that would be sacrificed for the sole purpose of him getting out and moving around on his own! Hotel room floors are not kid friendly. At least, not friendly for MY kids!

After some play time, we went back to the hotel so Everett could nap for a couple of hours and then met Aunt Mo out at Ocean Beach.

Ocean Beach has a reputation for being super cold but it was surprisingly nice with little wind! Emily was definitely overdressed with her coat and hat since she ran around so much...

as were Daddy and I. But, Everett was probably just right since he was just toted around.

It was a perfect afternoon. There is just something about being at the beach...

I hope y'all will take advantage of the family in SF and visit often. This first visit had such INCREDIBLY beautiful weather you were truly spoiled! Love Everett's yelling to runners and birdies! Glad he got to get out and stretch a little!
XOXOXO
So pretty there! Great pics!
What fun you had on Holy Saturday, Everett! Just hanging around, crawling and being a super cool baby. You sure are one lucky little boy!
