On the morning of September 1st, we surprised Emily with our video asking if she wanted to go to Disneyland that day. She was pretty excited...
and so was Everett.
We decided, when we were there for Emily's birthday in June, that we would get annual passes! The summer was too busy though and so we were determined to get there as soon as a day opened up. Emily was our navigator, as always.
And it was kind of like Everett's first trip because our June trip was completely catered to Emily. This time we went on Winnie the Pooh,Everett was able to join the blasting on Buzz Lightyear,
he did a little more walking, (exiting Alice In Wonderland)
he got a wave from Donald Duck,
and we went to Mickey's house!Which means that Everett got to see Mickey,
give him a high five!
have a staring contest,
and even tickle his face.
Then we went next door to Minnie's house where Everett made himself comfortable on Minnie's lap.He had a hard time saying good bye to Minnie...
but when he saw the cool things in her house...
he forgot about her and wanted to try everything out.
"Excuse me, waitress. I'll have my tea with just one lump please!"
At that point in the day, Everett was sufficiently worn out and napped about 30 minutes while waiting for Emily and Daddy who had gone on...
Splash Mountain! (last seat on the log - you can mostly see Paul with a little of Emily's head and her arm)
Emily didn't really think it was super fun - too scary - but we were very proud of her for trying it!And as a reward, we went to see some calm, non-scary characters like Eeyore...
and Pooh.
Everett really liked giving Pooh hugs.
And as we walked away, Tigger came bouncing down the street behind us. I ran ahead to get a picture of him and the kids but he just waved at them, bounced up to me and planted two big kisses on my face.It was then time to secure a spot along the parade route...
and get super excited for PARADE TIME!
As the last characters passed us, we followed the parade out of Disneyland and went over to California Adventure where, to our surprise, the play parade was about to start! We wasted no time, and sat right down to wait for the fun.
And fun it was!! Those characters do spray water on you a little but they also interact with the cutest among the crowd.
Plus, there are all different characters to see in that parade.
Everett couldn't get enough...and, again, we followed the end of the parade to our next (and final) destination...
The Little Mermaid ride!!
We did ride it a few times before we had no other choice but to head home for the day.
It was a good trip!

Fun day! Love the pic where Paul and Emily are so excited about the parade.
I love the picture of Everett squatting to see in Minnie's oven with his hands on his thighs! LOL! He just cracks me up, his usual silent observer face XXX! It is such a joy to experience Disneyland with Emily, hope I can someday!! In the meantime, blog is GREAT!!
Big hugs!
So jealous of all of you! Disneyland through the eyes of Emily and Everett sure is a blast.
Agh! How cute is Ev and all his hugging?! I just want to love on him. So fun.
Disneyland always makes for a fun day! Looks like the kids are becoming experts at navigating the park!
