September was pretty full and exciting but here are some of the lesser known events...
Everett went through his first carwash.
He didn't like it or dislike it, he just paid close attention.
Emily picked out a few flowers to surprise me and Everett helped carry them in.He had a bit of a mishap with the second one and I just loved watching him pick up the clumps of soil that fell out...
before trying again.
Everett watched how Emily takes care of her baby...
and then asked if he could do it the right way.
His big sister read to him and he told her the sounds (elephant) of the animals that were in it.
Another day, he located the clean swim clothes on their way to the bedrooms and carried them out to let me know that he wanted to go swimming. He also devoured a grilled cheese sandwich any time we met Daddy for lunch...
and snuggled in next to Emily...
and Daddy for story time.He chewed his hand. A lot. (Still have two eye teeth to go)
But, Everett didn't have to chew when his undressed princess fed him some yogurt.
Everett also got to watch Emily play Draw Something with Mama on the phone. He watched her guess my drawings, sound out the answer, type in the letters,
and then draw her own. (Can you figure it out? The letters might help.)He watched the fish with Daddy,
watched our own videos with Emily,
and buckled into the booster seat to play with Emily at the table.
Unfortunately, it wasn't all fun. He did have to watch Emily disappear for an hour (twice a week) during her occupational therapy session.
Luckily, he did recover and passed the time "talking on the phone"...
and even knocking on the door...
until they were reunited.
The phone isn't the only device he is becoming handy with. I also found him scrolling through pictures on the iPad just like Emily does.
Now, let's not forget the time he was dressed up like a fairy godmother.
Nor when he sat at the dessert table asking "Where is MY s'more?!"...and was happy just to get a graham cracker.
He watched the temperature rise over the six days we were without air conditioning...
and watched Emily's dance classes as well.
Everett got to have a bite of birthday cupcake with breakfast on Papa's birthday...and Emily did too!
He started practicing for when it is HIS turn to play soccer...
and was, sadly, not allowed on the field yet. (Even though, he probably has better ball skills than most out there.)
Another sad point was when he watched Emily get staples.
But a high point was when he got to watch a little of her treat movie the next day...
and be read to by Emily as well.
Everett's science event for the month was our field trip to our old neighbor's house where her trees were being eaten alive (literally - the closest 2 trees should look like the 3rd)...
by an amazing amount of caterpillars.
We took some home to watch, hoping we could see them change, ...
but have been confused by what some of them are doing.Lastly, Everett did his first sidewalk chalk masterpiece on the back patio.
And even appropriately added hair to Emily's person jumping rope!
But, that's it. Nothing much.

Wow, what an action-packed month! Everett sure loves getting out there and experiencing the world. I especially love how attached he is to his big sister. So sweet!
Oh I love seeing all the daily activities you guys have been up to, so fun! We miss you guys!!!:(. Love that Emily is writing, yay!!
Those little chubba hands picking up dirt and carrying the flowers melt me!! Lots of happy smiles, camera smiles, staring observation and enough fury to round out a perfect little boy!
Big Hugs!!
