Friday Disney Outing

On Friday, October 5th, the kids and I went back to Disneyland!
I didn't think I had that many pictures of the day but it turns out... I do!  I will go fast.
When we walked in the gate, we caught the Disneyland Band walking by.
So we joined the parade and Emily shouted to Alice, who turned around to say hello.
Then I decided that we would go to California Adventure first to ride Ariel's ride.  We stopped in at Cars Land for the first time.

While there, we refueled, but Emily didn't want to have her picture taken with Lightning McQueen.

After a ride on The Little Mermaid, we were on our way back to Disneyland and Everett did his own refueling with all of my cucumbers!
Emily really wanted to see the princesses that day so we waited in line for a while and crossed our fingers that we would get to see some that hadn't already signed our book.  First, was Cinderella.
We have her signature already but I have to post a bunch of pictures of this because Everett was hilarious!  He walked up, leaned in for a hug...
and just would not stop leaning in!
So Cinderella gave him his own hug again...
and then asked Emily if Everett was ever going to stand up again on his own.  (not really)
Finally, we forced him to lift his head and took a picture...
before Cinderella walked them over to Mulan...
introduced them by name...
and warned Mulan that Everett might lean on her for a long time.
Okay, sorry Everett, she didn't really say that.
After Mulan's signature the kids walked over to Tiana...
where Emily made herself comfortable...
and Everett asked if he could lean on her for a while.
We were happy that we scored two new signatures during that visit...
and Everett got a lot of hugs from lovely ladies.

Crazily enough, we actually ran into Ashley and her family (a friend and fellow partner in Daddy's Dallas office) as we left the princesses.  We knew they were in town but I am surprised we crossed paths!  I failed to take a picture.  Boo on me.
After a little chat, we boarded our boat on Small World.  I had to take a picture of Everett looking like such a big boy!
Then the kids had a "bar feast"...
as we walked to see Rapunzel!

The best part is that Everett knew just what to do with the princesses.  He plays "Disneyland" so much at home with Emily (where she dresses up like princesses and we get our book "signed" and take a picture with her).  Lately, when they play, Everett asks for a book - knowing that getting her signature is all part of the deal.
And he never leaves a princess without a hug!
Nor does Emily!
While we were waiting in line for Rapunzel, Everett had made it clear that what he wanted to do was ride the carousel!  I told him we would.  So we did.

Then, to end our half-day visit, we went over to Dumbo.  I took this picture to send to Daddy because he told Emily that she had to ride Dumbo for him.  (We have had to cut it out of the schedule a few times.)
I also took this one to show that even though Everett doesn't know Dumbo, he DOES know "elephant."

Okay, okay, I guess that wasn't the END of our day.  We did stop in for a scoop of ice cream...
that we all shared.
Now, no more Disneyland posts!  Unless the next time Everett or Emily does something really cute or we visit a new spot.  So, plan on another post soon.  haha ;)

I imagine those princesses have other little girls just as gaga over them but certainly nobody who is MORE enamored for sure! If she doesn't have that job in high school it will be a cryin' shame!!
Big Hugs!!
