On the 29th of September we went to a petting zoo for Emily's friend, Ky, and her brother's joint birthday party. When we arrived, Emily ran over to play on the playground with Ky...
and other friends from school.
She also sat around a little,
climbed around,
and made a four legged friend.
Then it was piñata time...
and cake time.
The birthday kids... and Emily enjoyed some cake...
while Everett continued to eat pizza. The only thing he had done since we arrived.
But, after our cake, we grabbed our party gear,
took a ride on the train...
and went to visit the piggy...
(best picture of Everett's full outfit)
while waiting for our PONY RIDE!
It was Everett's first pony ride and he loved it!
Of course, Everett asked for more pony rides but instead we walked over to see the bunnies and guinea pigs.
(I love this picture of Everett "feeding" the bunny with a little help from me.)
Emily did really well this time around (compared to our last visit) ...
and Everett was good until the animals actually tried to eat what was in his hand.
"Excuse me, ma'am. Could you tell this guinea pig to eat my grape?"
After the little animals, we took our basket o' goodies to the goats.
They always want to eat...
and never worry about crowding their visitors.
In fact, Daddy was a bit of a "goat whisperer" that day...
and had quite a following.
Which was cool because it allowed for a teaching moment for Emily - Daddy taught her about the word "goatee." :)
We had a great time!

Wow, first of all I LOVE your header!! LOVE IT! Second of all, I can't believe Everett took a pony ride all by himself!!! Wow! What a fun birthday party!
That is QUITE a petting zoo! What a fun trip! Mr Chill is Mr Brave too, huh? I'm glad Daddy had such a good time also!
XOXO
Glad to see Everett having as much fun as Emily at birthday parties. Looks like he is going to get double the parties with a big sister!
Wow, what a neat place for a birthday party! Complete with pony rides and petting zoo?! Who could ask for anything more? So glad that Emily is more brave with the animals (Noah is getting there, too). And I am impressed by the no fear attitude that Everett has.
Looks like a really fun day! Love the horse riding pics!
I need to get to a petting zoo. That looks like a lot of fun. You two buckaroos will be great ranch hands.
