Emily's First Dance Recycle

This morning, Emily woke up calling, "is it my recycle day?!  Is it my recycle day?!"  She was happy to learn that, in fact, it WAS the day of her first dance recital!  And, with every dance recital comes hot rollers.

With a simple curl and some clips, she was ready.
When we arrived, she put on her full costume and struck the opening pose of the dance.
Then she gave me a little hip shaking - you can only tell by her mouth in this pic.
After we got inside, Emily didn't want to go in to the dancer's room until her friends showed up so I waited with her.
She was eager for them to finish dressing in the bathroom...

and was getting a little nervous.
But once they (Emory left, Aubrey right) arrived, all the nerves were gone...
 and she was all smiles!
There was one other girl in their class but she was unable to make the recital, so the three of them went out to open the whole recital.
They were all smiles and did GREAT!!!!
Once they were finished, they exited the stage...
and we watched one more dance before going to get our little dancer!
She was very proud of herself and quite excited that Aubrey's mom brought all of them flowers.
We went outside for a few more pictures and Emily struck a pose...
before we got a really good one of all three.
Then they ran off into the distance.
Everett was happy to join them.
Eventually, they returned.  The adults talked, the kids ran some more...
and then we went inside to see the last few dances of the recital before heading home.
Their dance was the best.  Really.  Just ask any of us.

Emily!! You did such an AWESOME job! Liam was singing along with your dancing. I have done a dance to that song before too. ;) So proud of you! You did a great job in your very first dance recital and, as always, looked too too cute! xoxoxo
