On October 28th, after our visit to the pumpkin patch, Everett helped with his first pumpkin carving.
(I know Paul's eyes are closed but Everett's face as he gets his first looks at the "guts" is priceless.)
He wasn't afraid to get in there and get his hands dirty...
and worked really hard.
Eventually, he was able to move past the cleaning out and on to the other pre-carving jobs.
A couple of nights later, they called Emily in for a consult...
and then Everett directed Daddy on what to do...
while Emily drew "Rapunzel" on the backside.
(That is Rapunzel's hair coming out of the top of her head and snaking around the pumpkin.)
Then, with a Sharpie and some tape staring her in the face, Emily decided that she needed to put her name on her cup! So she got a piece of paper, wrote her name, cut it out, and taped it on her cup.
She even drew a tiny Rapunzel with A LOT of hair for the back.
I love being busy in creative ways. And, no, I don't have any "after" pictures. Shocking, I know.

Cute pic of the everett's first experience with the "guts".
Everett pretty laid-back about everything??? Even pumpkin guts!?!?!?
Love Emily's custom cup!
