Little Stinker Tidbits

So, today, I took Everett up to Emily's Christmas program dress rehearsal.  Therefore, we were early for pick up and had some time to kill between the rehearsal and her release.  We (me and my friend, Jody) elected to go up to the church library for the first time so Everett and her daughter, Riley, could have free rein while we waited.  Well, the library is pretty small and the elevator door is right in the middle of it so Everett decided that he would just push the button and get back on the elevator.  ("Going down?!")  I had to pull him off of it once and hold him back from getting on a couple more times when he got to the button before me.  After I told him sternly,  "no, no elevator," he walked over to the couch and pointed to it saying, "Mama, Mama, eh, eh."  I asked him, "oh, do you want Mama to sit on the couch?"  He nodded yes and waited for me to be seated, as I was mouthing to Jody, "so you can go to the elevator again?" Then, sure enough, as soon as I was sitting, he ran to the elevator and pushed the button.  Jody couldn't believe that he would come up with that but it's right in line with how shockingly smart he is proving to be.  Also, for the first time today, Everett told me that he had a dirty diaper.  But, no worries, he is not sacrificing beauty for brains... Everett is, as they say, "really stinkin' cute!"
