A New Way To Get There...

Emily's first bike ride was January 10, 2011.  She was 2 1/2 years old.

She has since graduated from her little Strider bike and it has a new owner.  Everett took his first "ride" on February 3, 2013.  He is not yet 2 years old.

 He thought that he was pretty hot stuff...

and giggled for the first several minutes.

Of course, the seat was way too high, but he didn't care. 

"Hey, Emily!  You coming?!  Let's ride!"

"Oh wait, what is this?"

"I think I'll go ahead and pick it up...

even though holding it DOES make steering a little difficult."

After watching Emily make a couple of laps down the street and back, Daddy was able to lower Everett's seat...

and it made a big difference.

"Hey, Mama.  Are you going to take pictures or put the camera down and clap for me?!"

 I clapped.

*These overalls are a really cute, quilted gingham.  They are from Uncle Adam's childhood and Emily picked them out of the closet for Everett that morning.  It was only as Paul tried to snap them that he realized the right pant leg's snaps have not aged well.  It's okay, he had venting!
