Starting Daddy's Birthday In A Magical Way

On Thursday afternoon, we picked Daddy up from work early and he didn't know where we were going.  Of course, when he saw the kids' Mickey and Minnie ears in the car, he knew that we were indeed headed to Disneyland!!

It seemed like the right way to get his birthday weekend started since Disneyland is one of his favorite places to go.  Once inside, we rode a few Cars Land rides,

watched a parade, 

(this guy insisted that I take his picture)

Emily and Daddy rode the bumper cars that she was too afraid to ride a couple years ago,

we asked a stranger to take our picture as we waited for the kids' first ride on Autopia,

I questioned my sanity as I let a one year old take the wheel of my car,

everyone survived underage drivers,

(Everett felt VERY proud of himself!)

we waited for another parade,

(standing room only by the time we got there)

raced back to ride Autopia again (this time I could ride comfortably with a much older driver),

(though, clearly, she didn't always keep her eyes on the road)

snagged a picture of the birthday guy and his babies,

accepted an offer from a stranger to take a family shot,

and walked out to our car.
